Here’s a couple sets from the past weekend in Victoria. I had a good time and will be looking forward to the coming months here. With any city, you need to adapt your style. I learned quite a bit about what hits in Victoria and what misses the mark.

Thursday we hit up Club Sugar. It’s student night. Rolling up at 10pm, the line has already begun to form. The player’s entourage includes: Nick, winnfield, and yours truly. Friendly banter with various girls in line. Standing around talking with each other this girl walks up. After grabbing Nicks ass (can’t blame her) she begins to repeatedly chant “I proved a point.” She spots a group of girls is walking toward the line. “Bitches that’s RIGHT, I proved a point!” After standing in line for 10 minutes I’m able to figure out what this point was: parking in one spot will get you to the club 2 minutes faster. Gold metals all around.
Victoria has two demographics: University students and old people. You will find the university students in all the clubs, and they are much more “ADD” then the typical girls I deal with in Calgary. Start of the school year. Party mood in the air. ADD enhanced.
5 minutes in the line becomes a war zone. People hopping in midway through, sneaking past other people waiting. 2 cute girls do this to me, and of course I call them out. HBcol is surprisingly polite, introducing both herself and her friend. 5 more girls come in. HBcol introduces them as well. Bantering with her, I say I’m from Calgary. One of her friends, a mega-cutie named Sarah, happens to also be from Calgary. HBcol tells Sarah that I’m from Calgary, and from her body-language throughout the conversation I can tell she has a lot of attraction.
Sarah: I’m from Calgary too!!!
Elektro: Cool, going to school?
Sarah: Ya, are you?
Elektro: No.
Sarah: Oh why are you here?
Elektro: To party.
At this point she’s touching me so I push her away and let her know to behave herself.
Sarah: But…
Elektro: So anyways… Victoria is cool. I lived in Penticton for 2 years.
Sarah: Oh, so you’re not from Calgary?
Elektro: I am. Played hockey in Penticton.
Sarah: Oh what level?
Elektro: AAA
I said “AAA” with breaking rapport, and was showing disinterest. Wanting to re-engage, she asks: “Did you ever play against the Royals?”
Elektro: Ya I played for the flames (the NW quadrant rep team is called the flames)
Sarah: No way! What’s your last name?
Elektro: ****
Sarah: No way!!! Do you know so & so?
Elektro: Ya he’s my second cousin.
Sarah: Wow what a small world! His cousin is dating my sister.
Elektro: Cool.
The last half of the conversation she is looking at my lips a lot. I ponder going for the in-line make-out, but opt to continue this inside and push for the pull. With all the chaos inside, I never ended up talking with her again. Best guess: she was on the dance floor all night. No worries, I will see her again, this is a small town.

Friday the day began with our hilariously annoying landlord coming by. I had yet to meet this lovely woman from Fiji. I introduce myself, and head inside to clean the dishes. When she comes in I begin cheering and thanking her for coming over to help with the dishes! She’s laughing and at one point I actually thought she was going to help out. After cleaning the bathroom, she comes up to me: “Come here I will give you a hug.” Then walks me to the bathroom to show me she finished the job. I let her know not to tease me like that.
If you’ve ever had the chance to meet with Kevin, you will know a core philosophy he lives by is to “make someones day”. The rest of Friday I hung out with Benji. We had two errands to run. First he needed to get his passport picture taking at Walmart, and second we wanted to build an office at our new place so a stop at XS Cargo was in order. The photographer at Walmart was in her high 20s. I took little jabs at Benji during his photo shoot bringing a smile to her face. The photos needed 10 minutes to process, and during this time I took the opportunity to push the set further. I asked where good places to go on Friday were, and she said “Don’t go to Bar Code.” Through her tone and other expressions it was obvious she had a bad experience there. We busting her on it. “I bet you got picked up and he never called you after…” ETC. Mentioning she got in a cat fight, I quickly hired her as my bodyguard. We had to go, but left with smiles all around. Goal: Make her day. Check!
XS Cargo: Benji and I each find a computer chair and desk. The cashier was a mid-30s Asian woman who barely spoke English. I demand a discount. “What? You don’t have a discount for cute Albertan boys? This is OUTRAGEOUS!!!” Smiles all around. Goal: Make her day. Check!
Benji wants to go shopping, so we head to the mall. I helped him build his new avatar (looks awesome), while simultaneously flirting with the gay guy helping us out. Rock on. Goal: Make her day. Check! Head to the cashier, she’s pretty cute, I’d guess 19. Start asking about different places around town, and she’s giving us details on all of them. Ironically letting us know which ones have underage girls, ETC. I again ask for my “cute Albertan boy” discount and get turned down. I tell her I have no friends and she can be my first Victoria friend. She accepts. Eventually we ask how old she is. Hilarity ensues. “18″ she says. Quite the club knowledge for someone who is underage. Interesssting. We leave her with a smile on her face. Goal: Make her day. Check!
Starbucks is our last stop. The girl taking my order asks “how are you?” I say I’m terrible. They all laugh. I order: “Caramel Macchiato with a side of smiles please.” The cashier laughs. The girl making my drink gives me “the look”. Benji goes to order, and isn’t sure what size to get. I say “I like ‘em big.” The girl that gave me the look says she “likes ‘em big too”. Bonus points. We leave both girls laughing. Big smiles on their faces . Goal: Make their day. Check!
At this point I have yet to hit the club and am in full-blown state. At 10pm we meet with the Victoria PUA Lair guys: Trigger, Zulu and Arrow. Head into Upstairs Club, get a stamp, and leave to walk around downtown Victoria for a bit. Make our way back to Upstairs, and the rest of the night was a blast. Here’s one set that stands out:
Two girls walk past us. One grabs my blue fedora, and puts it on HBsixty. I walk up, grab her hard by the waist, and ask “Who are you?”. She says her name is “B”. I ask for actual name, and she says “Brianne”. The whole time I’ve got a lot of hard kino – showing dominance. HBsixty hands her camera to her friend, and kisses me on the cheek. I take ninja stance. I turn to face her and make out ensues. Open to close, 60 seconds.

Sounded like a fun night
It was. I'm heading to Vancouver this weekend so let the party continue. You ever been?
Hey Elektro,
Just a quik Q.
Is Winnfield, (the guy) from the Okanagan?
Maybe Kelowna ?
Really would like to meet some other 'game' minded guys to talk with.
Hey!
Winnfield was living in Kelowna for a bit this summer. He ended up moving to Victoria with me until January and then moved to Australia where he is now.
There is another guy (freefall) living in Calgary right now who just moved from Kelowna, and he heads back quite a bit. Those are the only two guys I've met from out there.
I can definitely connect you and freefall for when he goes back.
Cheers!
